Competitive Programs

Competitive Programs (Up to 3 Sessions per week)

Athlete to register with Biathlon Canada/Biathlon Ontario according to their age category

General Information

Training sessions lasts 1.5 hrs each

  • 01 Sep – 31 Oct, Fridays 4:30 – 6:00pm, and Sundays 3:30pm – 5:00pm
  • 01 Nov – 31 Mar, Fridays and Sundays 3:30 – 5:00pm
  • 01 May – 31 Aug, Tuesday and Fridays, 6:30 – 8:00pm, and Sundays 3:30pm – 5:00

Program Fee covers

  • Consumables
  • Coaching cost during club designated competition provided they participate fully in the club’s fundraising program
  • Coaching fees in program
  • TBFG Membership fee
  • Video analysis, performance monitoring, and statistics
  • Seasonal shooting plan

Competitions

  • As per LTAD Model
  • Listed in the Club Supported race Schedule.

Membership

  • Membership to Biathlon Canada/Biathlon is required
  • Membership to a local cross country ski club is required.  Club and coach to be identified during registration

Required Firearm Safety Course

Biathlete must be complete certificate within first year of participation.

Equipment

  • Own a 0.22Cal Biathlon rifle and accessories.  Club rifles maybe available for use, but precedence is on club activities.
  • Eye and Ear protection
  • Ammunition.  7000 Rounds
  • Proper Winter attire for being active outdoor
  • Arm Cuff.

Documentation

  • Minors PAL. or PAL is required One Parent/Guardian to have full PAL
  • Valid Passport
  • US ATF Temporary Rifle Permit

 

Competitive Programs (Sundays Only)

Athlete to register with Biathlon Canada/Biathlon Ontario according to their age category

General Information

Members in this class who are 18 yrs of age or older have voting rights.
